State Legislature Passes Kodak Retiree Health Care Bill

By: WROC-TV
Updated: June 14, 2012
A health care bill championed by local state legislators for Kodak retirees in light of the company's bankruptcy is now headed to Governor Cuomo's desk.

The legislation provides a safety net for Kodak retirees whose health benefits were terminated due to the company's bankruptcy. Many of the retirees are not yet eligible for Medicare. Through the legislation, retirees will be able to pay lower premiums than they would on their own individual health care plans.

The legislation was sponsored by Senator Joe Robach and Assemblyman Joe Morelle.
