The Rochester Veteran's Outreach Center kicked off its annual Flag Day campaign at several locations around Monroe and Ontario Counties.

Volunteers plan to distribute more than 30,000 American flags, lapel pins, and decals to the public this weekend.  The volunteers will also be collecting donations.

Those we spoke with say Flag Day is a way to commemorate a symbol of our country.  The same symbol that many Americans have given their lives for.

Flag Day is next Thursday, June 14.
