Kodak Delays Move to Cut Health Care Benefits for Some Retirees

The move impacts about 16,000 retirees who are medicare-eligible. The company previously said the move would save millions of dollars.
Last month, a judge wanted the company to look into a special committee of retirees- before going further.
The company says it now wants that committee in place before looking at this issue again.
Therefore, no retirees will be losing health benefits come May 1st, the first proposed effective date.
Kodak made the request back in February, saying it would save nearly $14 million this year and more than $20 million every year after.
