Elba boys basketball lost three games all year. All three were against Batavia Notre Dame.

Tim McCulley and Zachary Hotze each scored 16 points as (1)Batavia ND came back late to beat Elba 50-45 in the Class D1 championship at Blue Cross Arena Saturday.

Mike Ramsey's three point play gave Elba a one point lead early in the 4th quarter, but Batavia ND took over from there.

Doane McCulley scored his only bucket of the game to put the Irish in front for good. Hotze added a three pointer for cushion and Notre Dame made enough free throws the rest of the way to seal it. The surge added up to an 11-5 game ending run.

Jared Thornton added 12 points for the Irish.

Matt Ramsey led Elba with 14 points. Mike Ramsey finished with nine points and nine boards.

Batavia ND will next face Class D2 champion Geneva DeSales in the state qualifier Tuesday night.
