Torrence Dyck scored 15 points in the fourth quarter, leading East High to a 78-69 win over Irondequoit. After East grabbed an early lead, Irondequoit stormed back to tie the game at 35 at halftime. The Eagles would go in front by six in the third quarter, before East went on an 8-0 run to take a lead into the fourth.
To go along with Dyck's 33-point performance, East also got 19 points from Chaquan Wilburn and 16 from Dontay Caruthers. The Orientals are now 18-1 this season.
For Irondequoit, Nick Doktor had 22 points, 10 assists, and 7 rebounds. Kyle Napierala also had 19 points for the Eagles.
East will take on McQuaid in the Class AA2 semifinals on February 28th at Gates-Chili High School.
