Rush-Henrietta scored four consecutive touchdowns to blow open a close game and win the Class AA Sectional 47-35 over Pittsford at Sahlen's Stadium.

The Royal Comets were not hurting for playmakers. Chauncey Scissum rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns while passing for another score. Derick Peters had 106 yards and two scores on the ground. Christian Harris scored a TD running and returning a punt.

Dominic DeLucia ran for 207 yards and two touchdowns for Pittsford. Grant Heyman chipped in with 229 yards passing and two touchdowns.

The game turned late in the second quarter with Pittsford leading 22-19. Rush-Henrietta took possession at their own 24 with 47 seconds left, and went the length of the field in four plays. Scissum hit Chase Weichman for a 23 yard TD with four seconds left in the half to give the Royal Comets a 26-22 lead at the break.

After Pittsford failed on a 4th down try late in third quarter, R-H scored on the next play when Peters found paydirt on a 51 yard score. The Comets stopped Pittsford again and followed with another one play TD drive thanks to a 50 yard Harris run.

Rush-Henrietta then opened the 4th quarter with a methodical 14-play drive that took 7:38 off the clock and ended with an 8 yard Peters TD. That gave the Comets a 47-22 with three minutes to play. The Panthers tacked on two more touchdowns to make the score more respectable.

Scissum scored the first two Royal Comet TDs of the game on 40-plus yard runs. DeLucia had both his scores in the second quarter before R-H took the game over.

It was the only loss of the season for Pittsford.
