It (4)Aquinas a while, but they finally got back to a Sectional Final.
After a sloppy first half, the Lil' Irish scored touchdowns on three consecutive possessions and AQ shut out (8)HF-L 21-0 in the Class A semifinals Saturday night at Sahlen's Stadium.
Billy Lombardi scored on a ten-yard run followed by a Cory Benedetto 35-yard TD pass to Jammal Pardner. Benedetto then added a 12-yard TD run of his own to conclude the scoring.
Aquinas will face their arch rivals from (7)McQuaid in the Class A title game Friday night.
