The Raytec Group, a manufacturing firm based in Fishers, is going green by giving it's employees a cheap lunch.
On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, employees can help themselves at a company-sponsored salad bar, for $3 a person. Company officials say the subsidized lunch will keep employees from driving around looking for someplace to eat.
Employees can also get a free trip to the salad bar for each day that they walk, run, or carpool to work.
Employees who want to buy a more fuel efficient car are getting help too. Raytec is offering $1,000 toward the down payment of a new car that meets specific environmental requirements.
The program began in June, and several employees have already taken part.
Raytec employs 250 people in Ontario County and Alabama.
