Pittsford 35, Hilton 33

Dom Delucia scored 5 more TDs as Pittsford shocked Hilton on the last play of regulation, 35-33.

The Panthers were trailing by 4, but had the ball with 15 seconds left when Grant Hyman hit a long throw down to the 1 yard line. Both teams thought the game was over, but the officials converged and ruled 1 second should be added to the clock because the chains needed to be moved and Pittsford - then - called a timeout. Delucia scored from a yard out to give the Panthers the dramatic win.

Delucia has scored 11 TDs in the season's first 2 games.

You should know that whoever is posing as Ashton Broyld should stop. Anyone who knows Ashton knows that he was in no way at the Hilton game. He is away doing his job at Milford. So people whoever that is saying that he is Ashton Broyld, he is NOT!

pittsford payed $10,550 to every ref in the hilton game and theres nothing hilton can do about it. we use our pockets to ruin the hilton homecoming.

Anonymous A. September 14, 2011 at 11:37 am

in all honestly it was probably the right call about putting one second back on the clock as much as it hurts to say being from hilton and all. and it really is a shame ashton that right now you should be playing for the the syracuse orange with all the talent you possess, too bad you let that one slip by, perhaps you should get off the high school sports forum and hit the books

Anonymous A. September 13, 2011 at 5:56 am

hilton lost, end of story. hilton runs section go harvest some corn cause ashton knows what he is talking about, thats just [censored].

Anonymous A. September 13, 2011 at 12:38 am

its funny how you guys talk about sportsmanship and the refs calling it wrong when there were so many times in the huddle when the refs had to talk to us and tell us that they kept on getting complaints about us punching them. 1. you are in helmets and shoulder pads playing a sport where you litteraly run at eachother and inflict as much pain as possible and u are complaining about punching. 2. rarely did anyone punch anyone and if there was punching it was on both sides....

Anonymous A. September 12, 2011 at 11:47 pm

Well me and my team mates went to da game and ya, Hilton played alright for a being a terrible team but pittsford won fair an square. Y'all Hilton fans rushed the field all early, bet y'all felt stupid after that haha!

Anonymous A. September 12, 2011 at 4:29 pm

LOL you must not know anything about football, if the clock runs out of time.. and there is a flag thrown nothing is inforced plus if you watch the film from the field level your player tried to trip one of the players on pittsford. pc

Anonymous A. September 11, 2011 at 11:48 pm

Hilton should have one that game! That pittsford reciever was tackled at the 1 yard line with 00:00 on the clock. Hilton Celebrated. Refs screw up like always and give pittsford a second chance. Pittsford scored then after Hiltons # 86 was giving a cheap shot after the play. Pittsford was given a flag but was never enforced. Pittsford should have had to replay at the 16 yards line after the 15 yard unsportsmanship. This all should have never happend because Hilton won the game with a GAMEWINNING tackle on the 1 yard line. Ashton Broyld you shouldn't say [censored] about Hilton you [censored] scumbag. You know everything about unsportsmanship after what happend at blue cross arena. Hilton deserved that win!

Anonymous A. September 11, 2011 at 10:22 pm

First of all, that pittsford reciever had scored that last touchdown so no matter what pittsford should have won. But even if with the ref downing the ball at the one yard line, there was still 2 seconds on the clock because the clock has to stop on a first down, which it was. Also when the player was down pittsfords head coach called a timeout as it happened. THEREFORE, when the ball is snapped, the clock starts giving pittsford the opportunity to finish off the game. But Hilton people wouldnt know this because they dont focus on education like pittsford does. And for the record, even though it is a stereotype, not all pittsford kids are filthy rich. But hilton is still a good team so its a great possibility pittsford will see them again in sectionals.

Anonymous A. September 11, 2011 at 8:52 pm

haha you hilton fans are mad funny. I was at the game and I used to play for rush and the refs did everything right, end of story. Give hilton fans a break though HIlton sucks at a lot of sports and there football team is a very small team they tried hard to beat a good football team and lost fair and square but Hilton fans were so shocked they needed to throw a finger. Great game by Hilton considering how bad their football team is, and great comeback by Pittsford but at the end of the day we all know how in section 5 football when you make a first down, the clock stops and you have an oppurtunity to call a timeout, which pittsford did but Hilton players stormed the field to early, sorry Hilton fans but you lost fair and square. Great game to both teams!
You wanna talk about Hilton having bad sportsmanship? What about at the end of the game after Pitssford scored the game winner their players trampled #86 Andy Miller?
yes lets talk about sportmanship. the panthers needed to be escorted out a back exit. must i say more?

Anonymous A. September 11, 2011 at 8:29 pm
swearing at the mother's there to pick up there kids in the parking lot yelling F you and picking on the younger brothers of some one else out your bus window, well i guess thats sportsmanship right. The game ended with Hilton winning until you begged for an extra play, if i were from pittsford after observing all of this i would be embarrased
yes and having half of the fan section violently chase the refs after the game is the pinacle of good sportsmanship
That goes to show that upper-class people complain when thy are out worked by middle-class people, at work or in sports. They have to cry and complain until they get their way. The Pittsford player was down with 1 sec left, so they clock should've stopped to re-set the chains and immediatly start the clock again once the chains are set. So if that would have been the case, Pittsford wouldn't have had time to get back to the line of scrimmage and get a play off without time running out. Instead the ref's had no clue as to what they were doing and called the game. So typical Pittsford fashion they cry and complain to get one last play when they shouldn't have. They should have accepted that they were beat and that's that. The reason why Hilton people are upset is because OUR kids were robbed of a game that they fought hard to win.
yes this is clearly a microcasm for class struggle...yes the clock stops on a first down then using a timeout

Anonymous A. September 11, 2011 at 6:20 pm

yes the refs were paid. they are paid by the home team. they are not volunteers
all i have to say, the refs were paid
Anonymous A. September 11, 2011 at 6:10 pm

What a shame. The Hilton football coach is a terrible guy and should be fired. He incited the crowd, bends the rules so he doesn't get reported. He's a clown. From the video, the refs made the correct call.

Anonymous A. September 11, 2011 at 3:56 pm

all i have to say, the refs were paid

wow you hilton fans on here must be the few people in town with computers. calling pittsford kids rich just makes you guys look like huge sore losers. also your real classy fans were flipping the pittsford players off while they were on the bus. who cares if they trampled a player, they were celebrating their win and it wasnt on their mind, it happens. better luck next time LOSERS. word of advice, play til the end.

As a parent of a hilton player I am extremely disappointed in all of these comments from both sides. Both teams played hard and with heart and last time I looked your heart isn't measured by east/west side and money. (wealth is plentiful on both sides of town...heart is the rarity here and both teams compromised of young men had that) This was football played at its best. Proud Mom of my team and my kid who played a big role.
all of you hilton fans need to calm down. im a neutral bystander who watched the game. the pittsford receiver was down at the 1 yard line with 2 seconds left. In highschool the clock stops when there is a first down, so regardless the clock shouldve stopped with 2 seconds left, but additionally they called a timeout. Its a completely legal and acceptable explanation on the refs part. just because they outplayed you to the final whistle and crashed your party doesnt give you an excuse to rip on 16-18 year old kids. get a grip it was a great game and its HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL.
perfectly said. i agree 100

Anonymous A. September 10, 2011 at 5:08 pm

Yes the clock stopped and during the stoppage a time out was called. Perfectly legal. This is a better example of parents who feel as if they were wronged by an "upper class" town they need to get there heads out of their high school football years and grow up.

Anonymous A. September 10, 2011 at 5:04 pm

Even so the clock is supposed to stop when a team gets a first down and u can count to 5 after the long pass play after the ref blew the whistle before the horn sounds.. the ref made amistake and corrected himself

Anonymous A. September 10, 2011 at 5:04 pm

This is for the pittsforpathers comment A)It's the coachs responsibility to call the timeout, not the refs job to ASSuME and B)A "facemask" doesn't change the out come of the game like the last play did....know what you're talking about before you say something

Anonymous A. September 10, 2011 at 5:01 pm

Ok well, A) the 30 yard pass/run by #4 should have stopped the clock the second the whistle blew, with time remaining, because in high school football the clcok stops on a first down to reset the chains. And B) Pittsford had a remaining timeout and the refs should have had the common knowledge to know it was going to be used instantly. Dont say Pittsford paid off the refs because on the D&C website there is a gigantic picture of #22 on Pittsford getting facemasked by a Cadet; no call was issued.

Never in my 20yrs of playing football, from pee-wee's to high school have I ever seen a ref's completely throw a game like they did last night. I am disgusted with the out come of the game. Pittsford players couldn't accept the fact that Hilton out played them and begged the ref's for one last play, Pittsford fans want to talk about sportsmanship but yet their players and fans couldn't accept the fact they lost and begged for one last play....what does that say about sportsmanship? All because Pissford has deep pockets!

Anonymous A. September 10, 2011 at 4:18 pm

pittsford, not only the most wealthy town with the best school system, but also with the best sports. East Side > West Side. Pittsford> Hiton

its sad that a team had to argue for an extra 3/4 of a second so they could win, the time ran down and stayed on 000 for the entire last play, crying for another second because you were close but not there
It's a game. We understand that if you are on the losing side your going to be upset, yet if you want to show good sportsmanship you wouldn't be saying the things you do. Which is only proving the fact that a sore loser will always be a loser, worry more about in-between the lines of the field rather then putting blame on the refs. If you would have played well from the beginning then you would not be relying on calls.
