Buffalo Sabres Buys the Rochester Amerks

The deal is done. The Rochester Amerks announced Friday the team has been purchased by the Buffalo Sabres.
The AHL Board of Governors approved the sale sale.
The Sabres expect to hold a press conference in Rochester next week with more details of the future of the franchise.
Terry Pegula owns the Sabres. Curt Styres was the owner of the Amerks. Styres will remain the owner of the Rochester Knighthawks.
