#5 - J.K. Rowling

The author of the Harry Potter series unveiled a new social networking site called Pottermore.  It will go live in the fall.  The site offers never-before-seen material and details about characters and places in the Potter series.  Rowling also announced that the Harry Potter book series will be available as e-books.  The final movie is in theaters July 15th.

#4 - Winklevoss Twins

The 2 former business partners of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg have given up their fight for more money.  The Winklevoss twins claimed they were short-changed in a $65 million settlement with Zuckerberg.  They claim he stole the idea for Facebook from them.  In April, a judge ruled they couldn't undo their previous settlement.

#3 - Southwest Pilot

The pilot landed himself in hot water over rude comments about flight attendants that he made over the radio.  Apparently, he did not realize his mic was open and his rant was heard by other pilots and air traffic controllers.  Part of his rant: "I thought I was in Chicago, which was party land.  After that it was just a continuous stream of gays and grannies and grandes."  This happened back in March but the audio is just coming out now.  The pilot was suspended without pay and had to undergo diversity education.

#2 - Lindsay Lohan

The actress is in trouble again.  She was in an L.A. court Thursday for violating the terms of her probation but she got lucky.  After failing an alcohol test the judge said that poor decision making is not a violation of her probation.   The previous judge only required testing for controlled substances.  Alcohol is not a controlled substance.  Lohan, though, cannot have any more parties.  The troubled actress has been under house arrest for stealing a necklace earlier this year.

#1 - "Whitey" Bulger Captured

He was one of the FBI's Most Wanted Men.  James "Whitey" Bulger and his longtime girlfriend were arrested in Santa Monica Wednesday night.  The 81-year-old has been on the run since 1995.  The mobster was also an FBI informant.  He disappeared after learning he was about to be charged with racketeering.  Former FBI Special Agent John Gamel says, "He was alleged to be a very violent man -- probably committing as many as 19 murders or being responsible for those.  In addition he had lots of other violent crimes that he was a part of."  The arrests come just one day after the FBI released an ad campaign across the country looking for Bulger.
