Wings Stopped By Rain

By: Thad Brown
Updated: June 10, 2011
The game between the Wings and Clippers was suspended in the bottom of the third inning Friday night in Columbus. No makeup or continuation date has been announced. The only time the two teams meet this season is during August in Rochester, so the game will likely be finished then.

Jerad Head hit a three run homer to finish a 5-run first for the Clippers. Steve Holm drove in a run with a single in the second inning for the Wings. Columbus had two on with two out when the game was stopped in the third.

The Wings now travel to Toledo to begin a four-game set with the Mud Hens beginning Sunday.
