#5 - Plaxico Burress

The former NFL star is now a free man.  The former New York Giant spent the last 20 months in prison on a weapons charge.  He got in trouble back in 2008 when he took a gun to a New York nightclub and accidentally shot himself in the leg.  Burress was not licensed to carry a gun.  He reportedly wants to play football again.

#4 - Rick Santorum

The former Republican Senator officially joining the race for President Monday.  Santorum made the announcement in his home state of Pennsylvania.  He says he's "in it to win it".  Over the weekend, he won a straw poll in New Hampshire.

#3 - Dominique Strauss-Kahn

The former chief of the International Monetary Fund pleaded not guilty Monday morning to charges he sexually attacked a maid at a posh New York hotel.  Strauss-Kahn is being held under house arrest at a Manhattan townhouse.  Prior to the incident, he had been considered a front-runner in France's next Presidential race.

#2- Sarah Palin

The former Alaska governor defending her account of history when it comes to Paul Revere.  Her bus tour made a stop in Boston last week.  She was asked what she had taken from her visit so far.  "We were where Paul Revere hung out as a teenager, which was something new to learn. And ya know, he warned the British that they weren't going to be taking away our arms by ringing those bells and making sure as he's riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were going to be secure and we were going to be free and we were going to be armed."  Revere's famous ride was actually to warn Samuel Adams and John Hancock that British troops were marching to arrest them.  There were no shots or bells; Revere's ride depended on secrecy.  Despite that Palin still defended her account on Fox News this weekend.  "You know what? I didn't mess up about Paul Revere...Part of his ride was to warn the British that were already there you are not going to succeed, you are not going to take American arms."  Palin supporters even tried to change the Wikipedia page for Paul Revere hoping to re-write history.  Specifically, they tried to add citations to support the idea that Revere rang bells on his ride.  Wikipedia locked the page so it cannot be edited.

#1 - Katie Couric

She signed off from the CBS Evening News in May.  As expected, she's got a new gig lined up.  Couric signed with ABC to do a new talk show.  Couric will also have a presence on some of the ABC News broadcasts.  Her new daytime show is expected to launch in September of 2012.
