Many of our local lawmakers headed to Albany Sunday night following the news about the budget agreement.  However, we did catch up with Republican Senator Joe Robach before he left.  He is pleased with the agreement.

"We are tightening our belts and most importantly protecting vital services and not raising new taxes or anything of that nature.  I think that is crucially important, working along with the governor.  I am glad he listened to many of the upstate people who are working for the people up here."

Monroe County Republican Chair Bill Reilich says lawmakers will vote on the budget this week.

So they reached an accord on the budget, what about all the pork that will be added in after the fact? All planned spending by the government should be accounted for in the budget.
