At Habitat for Humanity's restore, you can find just about anything for your home. The have lights, hardware, doors, and windows, among many other things. Homeowners and contractors have brought these items in, saving them from the landfill.

"It's been growing exponentially each years, but overall in the past five years, it's been about 500 tons worth of home materials. So it's made a huge impact," says Bethany Cramer of Habitat for Humanity Communications.

The idea for ReStore can about five years ago, but it wasn't until 3 years ago, when they moved to a larger space at 755 Culver Rd. that the store really expanded.

"We bought this warehouse which is about 1700 square feet and we've just continuously grown with donations," Cramer adds.

People bring in working items that habitat thinks they can re-sell. Anyone can shop at the store and all of the profits go back to the organization. Cramer says, "everything here that is made by profit is given back to Habitat for Humanity for Rochester because this is one of the projects we use to fundraise. So everything that is made here is put towards building houses," Cramer adds.

There are also some new items here too. Cramer says, "We make sure that we also buy things that are accessories to various items, so you don't have to run around to all different stores to get what you need."

One stop shopping that you can feel good about. For more information click here.
