Unconditional love is what this week's News 8 Golden Apple Award winner gives to her school. She's Sister Christina Marie Luczynski, Principal of St. Joseph Catholic School in Penfield. And the whole school helped us with our surprise.
All the students at St. Joseph School and their parents and teachers have been touched by their Principal, Sr. Christina Marie Luczynski. She's a beautiful woman who dedicates her life to others. We got the entire school into the gymnasium and yelled surprise when Sr. Christina walked in the door.
Sister Christina has been an educator for 42 years. Teachers, Like Grace Tischer, say she wraps her arms around the school with her love. "And her heart beats for everyone. and she treats everyone with respect and fairness all the time. And it's a privilege to work with her."
Parents like Linda Wojciechowski say Sr. Christina is great leader who is blessed with many wonderful qualities. "She is generous and compassionate. She's an educator, she's a multi-tasker. She is not afraid of anything. So she's a wonderful leader for our school."
"I love my job because I can make a difference in their life" says Sr. Chrisrtina. "I can help them become better people. And I want to make a difference in the lives of the children I teach and that I work with. I share my faith with my children every single day. And we pray and they bring different kinds of intentions all the time to pray for. And we know that our faith is really what makes us strong."
