How do you get your kids to eat their broccoli?  Is it a major chore anytime a vegetable shows up on their plate?

The Greater Rochester Health Foundation has teamed up with Rochester Children's Theatre to produce "Sweet House," a fun, healthy-habit inspiring musical, that delivers a message kids can't help but enjoy.

" We don't want to be preachy. I'm a parent, I have kids in that age and it doesn't work," says "Sweet House" composer Casey Filiaci.

Sweet House puts a bold new twist on the classic Hansel and Gretel.

"We want to tell a very entertaining story, and we want to tell the story in a way that they're going to listen to it, and parents will listen to it too. And it's got a lot of really fun music to it that you might hear on the radio today," said Filiaci.

Bonnie Devinney works with the Greater Rochester Health Foundation.

"Sweet house is one way for us to get the message out in a fun and dramatic way that kids make choices, parents make choices and they need to be healthy ones," she says.
