SCOTT’S REPORT CARD
COACHING: Liked Chan Gailey’s commitment to the run game (of course, the rainy conditions and the Lions’ weak run “D” probably forced his hand). Give the guy credit for getting his team to keep playing hard. Grade: B
OFFENSE: Fred Jackson produced 170 yards and two TDs on 31 touches and Lee Evans set up a score with a beautiful lunging 43-yard reception. Ryan Fitzpatrick didn’t have a great day throwing the ball, but didn’t turn it over either. Grade: B-minus
DEFENSE: Gave up 323 yards passing, but limited the Lions to just 76 yards, 102 below the Bills average yield. Dwan Edwards’ interception set up their first score. Unit came up big on Detroit’s two-point conversion attempt. Grade: B
SPECIAL TEAMS: Brian Moorman pinned the Lions inside the 20 three times, but Rian Lindell missed a 41-yard field goal with the wind at his back and Jon Corto’s holding penalty negated a 78-yard punt return for touchdown. Grade: C
OVERALL: Hey a win is a win is a win. Grade: B
