This is our final News 8 Golden Apple Award of the school year.  And we've saved the best for last, at least according 4th Grader Briana Dey from Pal-Mac Intermediate School. Briana nominated her teacher Jennifer Meyer.

We got a nice letter from 4th Grader Briana Dey telling us how perfect her teacher is. Briana is in Jennifer Meyer's class at Pal-Mac Intermediate School. Briana says "I truly know that you can't be perfect but Ms. Meyer is pretty close to being a perfect teacher!!!

Jennifer's friend and fellow teacher Colleen Moquin says "She is pretty close to being the perfect teacher."

Briana says Ms. Meyer never judges.. treats everyone equal.. and teaches her students to do the same. "Ms. Meyer is my mentor and has touched my life in so many ways. I want to follow in her foot steps someday and be a teacher just like her."

Jennifer says "I think this shouldn't be so much about me but about the rest of these kids here too because they are what makes me want to be here."

Jennifer Meyer is a News 8 Golden Apple Award winner. You can read her letter below.

Dear Channel 8,

I Briana Dey would like to nominate my teacher Ms. Jennifer Meyer for the Golden Apple Award. I think she is the perfect teacher for this award. I truly know that you can't be perfect but Ms. Meyer is pretty close to being a perfect teacher!!!

She is always very patient with us… Being in her class is very exciting. Ms. Meyer loves technology and loves to teach it to us. In Ms. Meyer's class you will all ways see us with a book in hand or listening to our teacher read to us. Ms. Meyer knows how important it is to be a good reader and with her skills and enthusiasm she will make us a good reader as well. My teacher always listens to us when we need her. She is a coach, a mentor and a leader. She always shows us that she cares about us and keeps us motivated. Ms. Meyer is always bringing in stuff for our class. She brings in snacks, crafts and books.

My teacher never judges anybody she treats everybody equal. She teaches us to do the same. Ms. Meyer is my mentor and has touched my life in so many ways. I want to follow in her foot steps someday and be a teacher just like her. I

My teacher always shows us that she cares about us and keeps us motivated to learn.. These are the reasons why I'm nominating her for the Golden Apple Award.

Thank you,

Briana Dey
