The Wegmans Menu Cooking School offers several classes to get your kids slicing, dicing, and mixing their way to great tasting foods.
"The kids will try more things if they're the ones making it," said Angela Volta, the manager of the cooking school.
This culinary class blends nutrition, cooking skills, and even a little bit of experimentation all into one. These ingredients make a recipe for smiles.
"Sometimes when you're trying at home with mom and dad or grandma and grandpa, it's a little different, but when you're in a kitchen here with all your friends cooking and you're the one doing it, kids tend to try it a little more. That's one thing I know the parents really like about it," said Volta.
On the menu this class: Avocado infused salsa, and a delicious raspberry sorbet drink. All made from scratch. The chefs, well, they could barely reach the counter, with a little help from a stool. Oh, and you can expect some instant excitement following these classes.
"We usually go shopping after class to buy what we need to make what we did in class," said mom Becky Perrone.
So what do we have to do now?
"Buy some stuff for what we need to make macaroni and cheese!" said her son, Nathan.
