Now, the Red Wings can feel Richmonds pain.
One day after Rochester defeated the R-Braves 1-0, the Red Wings lost 1-0 at Scranton/W-B Saturday in Pennsylvania.
Dan Giese and three relievers held Rochester to four baserunners on a walk, a double and two singles. Rochester actually had runners in scoring position for the second, fourth and fifth innings, but could not score.
Even more frustrating, the Wings handed Scranton their run thanks to four walks in the sixth.
Starter Brian Duensing opened the inning with a walk to Chris Stewart. Two bunt outs moved Stewart to third before Duensing threw four balls to Jason Lane.
Julio DePaula replaced Duensing and promptly walked Shelly Duncan and Cody Ransom to force in the games only run.
The Wings went in order in the sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth innings. Rochester has two more games in Scranton before taking Tuesday off and opening a three game homestand on Wednesday.
