In her heart of hearts, Jenna Cirincione is a scientist. But she's also an incredible artist. At Rush-Henrietta High School, she's created an incredible collection of ceramics. "I don't think I could stop ceramics, I like it," says Jenna. "You can make anything you want, you can make something realistic like a horse or something sculptural inspired by a shell. That's my favorite thing. If you mess up, you can just crinkle it up and start over again." Jenna's been working in ceramics for two years, under the guidance of teacher Julie Flisnik. "She's unbelievably dedicated, she's completely reliable, she always goes above and beyond and she's very unassuming," says Flisnik. "For someone who is as humble as she is her artwork tends to be very dramatic and large. I think it's a way for her to be a little bit flamboyent!" Jenna heads to RIT next year to study biomedical science, and hopes to work in the field of medical research. But her love of ceramics will always stay with her!
