Director Of Democratic Governors' Association: Spitzer A "Dedicated Public Servant"

(Washington, DC) -- The executive director of the Democratic Governors' Association is responding to the report of New York Governor Eliot Spitzer being linked to a prostitution ring.
In a written statement, Nathan Daschle offers "thoughts and prayers" to Spitzer and his family. Daschle, who is the son of former Senate Democratic Leader Tom Daschle, also says, "Governor Spitzer is a dedicated public servant with a long record of bringing positive change to New York." He also adds, quote, This is not the time to play politics, particularly as investigations are ongoing. Until all the facts of this case are known, we should all exercise caution and restraint."
