Syracuse Drops to #7

The first loss of the season has dropped the Syracuse men's basketball team to #7 in both the AP and ESPN/USA Today poll.The 13-1 Orange lost for the first time this season on Saturday, when the Pittsburgh Panthers beat them at home, 82-72. Pittsburgh is now #23 in the AP poll and just missed the Top 25 in the ESPN/USA Today poll.
Pre-season Big East favorite Villanova leapfrogged the Orange in the polls to claim the #6 spot, while conference foe West Virginia sits right behind Syracuse at #8.
Syracuse hosts Memphis on Wednesday at the Carrier Dome. The Tigers are 10-3.
