RIT computer mystery

RIT is investigating why its internet service was disrupted Wednesday. According to school officials, at 5:45 Wednesday morning, RIT lost its connection to the internet for about 90 minutes. During that time, all in-bound internet traffic was diverted to an overseas location. The school says this internet disruption also occurred at four other colleges and universities. It is investigating whether this was a malicious act. RIT does not believe any institute information was compromised.
