
Game of the night was at Wilson. The Wildcats led by three at the half, but Gates-Chili (12-5) came back in the second half, keyed by Chad Dillard's 18 points The Spartans led by two with 13 seconds left to play. Eric Miles drove the length of the floor, but right at Dillard who swatted away a potential game tying shot. Gates-Chili (11-4) added two more free throws to win 58-54. Greece Athena and Irondequoit played a boys-girls doubleheader at Irondequoit. The Trojan ladies took the opener 51-35. Sarah Alwardt scored 15 points and pulled down ten boards for Athena (9-7). Keri Soppe led the Eagles (2-14) with 15. The margin of victory was higher for the Athena boys in the nightcap. Kourtney Goff scored 18 and Brian Benson had 14 as the Trojans (15-2) opened a 22 point halftime lead and never looked back. The final was 70-43. Irondequoit falls to 9-7. At Sutherland, Bridget Ryan scored 16 points and pulled down 19 rebounds to go with 7th-grader Kayli O'Keefe's 17 points as the Lady Knights (9-6) turned away Batavia 59-41. Alyssa Tretter led Batavia (11-4) with 13 points. At Eastridge, Wayne Washington posted a triple double with 30 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, but it wasn't enough. Eric Mays scored 17 points leading Webster Thomas (9-7) to a 65-61 win over the Lancers (7-9).
