The fire company bought the new equipment with funds secured with grants from the Department of Homeland Security as part of the Assistance for Firefighters Grant Program, using $84,075 toward the purchase of emergency oxygen packs.

Congressman Reynolds hosts workshops to help fire departments, like Walker, apply for such federal funding.
