Complaints filed against 1KGiveaway

A local company, 1KGiveaway owes close to two dozen people their winnings, at least, that's what the reports say that are being filed with the Better Business Bureau.
Pat Coakley of the BBB says the complaints have been pouring in since we aired our story Wednesday night. She says many people won 25 and 50 dollar amounts from the site and 1KGiveaway notified them of their winnings. At least two people won a thousand dollars each, and they say they even had to fill out IRS forms. But none of the players have seen a check.
Coakley says consumers feel they were lied to. Now, the BBB is trying to get in touch with Tim Maslyn, the president of 1KGiveaway.
“We send exactly what the consumers are saying,” Coakley said. “We want any company to see specifically what the complaint is, what it's about and give them the opportunity to respond and make good on this."
The Better Business Bureau is still encouraging people to contact them with any other problems with 1KGiveaway. Coakley says the BBB has already sent out one notice to the company, and they generally give businesses a second notice before the BBB files a final report to the public.
