Schobel was originally selected as an alternate after he finished the season with a career-high 96 tackles and led the Bills with 6 1/2 sacks in 16 starts. He will be Buffalo's lone representative at the game, to be played February 10 in Honolulu. Bills left tackle Jason Peters was selected as a starter, but will miss the game with a groin injury.

Taylor is unable to play after tearing his left plantar fascia -- an injury that brings pain to the bottom of the foot and heel -- against Baltimore on December 16.

Schobel, who played in the Pro Bowl last season, is the first Buffalo defensive end to appear in consecutive Pro Bowls since Bruce Smith, who was selected to seven straight and 11 overall, last did it in 1998.
