GREECEPOLICECHASE2008-01-21-1200932057.jpgSeveral people including a police officer were taken to the hospital after a police chase in Greece Sunday afternoon. According to police, a 42 year old Robert Anthony of Rochester was acting suspiciously at Greece Ridge Mall early on Sunday at around 3 p.m. Anthony then led officers on a high-speed chase through the City of Rochester where he damaged four cars on Ridgeway Avenue near Dewey Avenue before being taken into custody.

Police say an officer tried to stop the Anthony’s car because it had stolen license plates. Anthony also has a misdemeanor warrant pending with the City of Rochester.

The man’s name is not being released pending charges. Currently, he is being treated at Strong Memorial Hospital. The man faces charges of assault, reckless driving, reckless endangerment, fleeing from police and drug possession. The Greece police officer who was injured at the scene suffered minor injuries and was not admitted to the hospital.
