Grief counselors help students cope with death of classmate

radford.marcus2008-01-14-1200352414.jpgGrief counselors were on hand at Franklin High School Monday helping students cope with the drowning death of one of their classmates.

       

17-year-old Marcus Radford died after drowning in an indoor pool at the Renaissance Apartment Complex in Brighton this weekend. Family members say Marcus was a junior and had just been awarded an academic trip to study in Japan.


There's still no word on what caused the drowning at the apartment complex on East Avenue.  One person was able to pull him out and attempted CPR, but Radford later died


A funeral has not been scheduled yet. But the family is accepting donations in Marcus' memory at the East Henrietta Road Church of Christ. The number there is 256-0190.
