Leonardo to be re-sentenced

LEONARDOSENTENCE2008-01-14-1200351290.jpgA victory in court today for the once prominent Rochester attorney who had a notorious fall from grace.


Anthony Leonardo was a high profile local defense attorney who was admitted to money laundering and drug dealing in 2001. It was later learned he was also involved in the murder of his business partner. His accomplice was also involved in the 1990 10 million dollar armored car heist.


Today, a U.S. Court of Appeals threw out Leonardo's 16 year sentence, meaning he will have to be re-sentenced in federal court.


Leonardo is also serving 6 to 18 years for the state conviction on murder conspiracy charges.
