This is what crews are encountering...in some cases huge trees completely uprooted. The city forestry department says it got more than 100 calls Wednesday, way more than the usual load of 15. It says the recent snow melt contributed to the damage.

"The strong winds and wet ground combined made it perfect conditions for trees to uproot," said Corey Cook of the Rochester Forestry Department.

Rochester residents who are worried about downed trees can call the city forestry department at 428-5990. If you live outside the city, you'll have to call a local tree removal company.
