Reported attempted abduction in Brighton

Brighton police are investigating an attempted kidnapping.Police say it happened Monday afternoon and involved a 16-year-old girl working at a business at Twelve Corners Plaza.
Police say the girl observed a man sitting his parked truck, watching her. About 90 minutes later, the girl claims the suspect came into the store and stated, "Your parents were in an accident; you need to come with me."
Police say the suspect then grabbed the clerk by the arm and tried to drag her from behind the counter area. The teen then struck the suspect in the face, possibly causing an injury to the suspect's nose.
The suspect then took off in a vehicle described as a dark colored rusty pick-up truck, possibly green.
The suspect is described as a white male, mid 40's, medium build, 5'10"-6' tall, with short dark blond hair. He was wearing faded blue jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt with Pittsburgh Steelers logo on the front.
