Monday's warm temperatures proved to be dangerous for two boaters near Sodus Point.
Crews quickly rescued two men who fell into the water. They were apparently ice boating at the time of the accident. Investigators believe the two were ice sailing about 60 miles per hour when they hit a soft patch of ice. Both went under.
One of the men rescued, Norm Vanderbilt, said they were able to call for help from a cell phone. The other man, John Knapp, was taken to the hospital to be treated for hypothermia.
