Wegmans School of Pharmacy holds "white coat" ceremony

WHITECOAT-A2008-01-07-1199724122.jpgPharmacy students celebrated a significant mile stone Sunday in Rochester. Future pharmacists from the Wegmans School of Pharmacy at St. John Fisher College received their symbolic white coats in what the school calls an important right of passage.



"Traditionally white coats in both medical and pharmacy profession are given to students just before they enter in to there experiential portion of there curriculum,” says Dr. Scott Swigart, Dean of the School of Pharmacy.



Sunday's event was the second annual "White Coat Ceremony" for the School of Pharmacy which opened in August 2006.
