Red Cross receives $5000 grant from JP Morgan Chase

The JP Morgan Chase Foundation has donated a $5,000 grant to the American Red Cross, Greater Rochester Chapter’s local disaster relief fund. to help rebuild the lives of families in our community.
“JP Morgan Chase has a long history of supporting the Greater Rochester Red Cross,” says Robert F. Ryan, JP Morgan Chase Rochester Region Executive, “we commend the important work of the Red Cross because it strengthens our community.”
“We estimate that the cost of providing disaster relief services is more
than $220,000 a year,” says John Butrill, Rochester Red Cross CEO. “Thanks to the grant from JP Morgan Chase we will be able to continue to provide much needed emergency shelter, food, new clothing, counseling and other assistance to the families and individuals who suffer loss due to fires.”

The drive is held to help replenish the blood supply in the Rochester Metro area which can fall short during the holidays. In order to donate blood, you must be age 17 or older, weigh at least 110 lbs. and be in good overall health. You can donate blood at age 16 with written permission from a parent or guardian.
