The Rochester Education Foundation is teaming up with several local companies to launch a holiday book drive.
This month, students at five elementary schools will get a new book.
Thursday, kids at School #6 were busy wrapping books for their fellow classmates.
All in all, about 6,000 books will be delivered to 3,000 students in their classroom this week.
"We really do believe in literacy. It makes such a difference and we believe it to be a foundation for their success, both in school and in their life," said Dianne Newhouse, President of Volunteers of America.
