Thousands of parents have dished out some big bucks for the sold out Hannah Montana show at the Blue Cross Arena. Concert organizers say they're doing everything they can to make sure those parents get their money's worth.
Miley Cyrus, who plays Hannah Montana, is expected to take the stage sunday afternoon. Officials say arena staff and city crews will be working overnight to plow roads and sidewalks. On top of that, downtown hotels are offering discounted rates to accommodate families, especially those driving from other cities and states.
The lobby of the Blue Cross Arena will also have activities during the day before hand so fans can get out of the snow.
Arena officials say it would take a huge storm for the show to be canceled altogether.
“It would take road closings throughout the area, state of emergency, and it would take a lot to do that,” said Jeff Calkins, manager of the Blue Cross Arena. “We're hoping the storm will be milder than anticipated, and we hope people will take advantage of getting here a day early or a few hours early.”
