United Airlines flight makes emergency landing in Rochester

Scary moments in the skies over
Airport firefighters and emergency crews were waiting and ready to meet the plane after it landed safely just after 5 p.m.
Trans-State Airlines, flight 7927, operated by United Airlines, was on its way to
" I was sitting near the back of the plane and there was a large explosion, sounded like an explosion, down where the lavatory is, and immediately the back of the cabin filled with some type of debris or dust, could smell it, the captain immediately leveled off, we stayed there for the next three to four minutes at 5-6000 feet, and eventually started turning the aircraft, flew came back over the lake and made an emergency landing on the runway," says Chris Wheeler, a passenger on the flight.
No one was hurt in the incident. No word on what caused the problem other than it is being labeled a "mechanical failure". Passengers on flight 7927 have been re-booked for other flights on Monday.
