Law enforcement agencies from four jurisdictions tracked down a man suspected in several bank robberies across Western New York. The latest happening just Friday afternoon at the Bank of America on West Ridge Road after dispatchers broadcasted a description of the suspect's car, a Gates police officer spotted it on Buell Road at the Comfort Inn. Greece police and Cheektowaga Police also responded to the scene where officers made contact with the suspect.
41 year old Alfred Espe Jr. of Lancaster came out of the building and was arrested without incident. Later while in custody, investigators say espe confessed to a total of four bank robberies: in Cheektowaga, Depew, Chili, Greece.
Espe is being held in Erie County where police already have a case against him.
