A standoff Saturday evening on the City's northeast side ended in suicide. Officers responded to a house at 65 Requa Street after reports of shots fired inside the home just after 2 p.m. More than a dozen officers surrounded the house, setting up a staging point at 610 Hollenbeck Street. The standoff ended after three hours. Police were unable to make contact with anyone inside the home. Chief David Moore tells News 8 that a mother and 12 year old child ran from the house during the standoff.
