Toll increase?

New Yorkers are getting the opportunity to speak out about possible toll increases on the New York State Thruway. A public hearing is underway right now in
The Thruway Authority is considering a five-percent toll hike in 2009 and another five percent in 2010. That is in addition to a ten-percent increase already approved for this January.
The Thruway Authority says high gas prices are keeping people off the thruway, and needs to raise tolls to make up the difference.
