Excellus offers new Medicare plans for 2008

Rochester-area seniors can take advantage of a new $650 flexible fitness benefit and health plan premiums that start at $0.

Here's the list of Excellus BCBS's offerings:
-Medicare Blue Choice Value; medical and drug coverage; $0

monthly premium

-Medicare Blue Choice Platinum; medical coverage; $40 monthly

premium

-Medicare Blue Choice Optimum; medical and drug coverage; $87

monthly premium

-Medicare Blue PPO 201; medical and drug coverage; $60 monthly

premium

All members in these plans can use $650 every year for fitness and weight loss programs at any appropriate facility.
This program is Excellus BCBS' new incentive to encourage members to lead healthy, active lives.


Called "Go Getters," the fitness benefit will cover activities such as fitness classes, water aerobics, swimming, yoga, Pilates and weight training, as well as qualified weight loss programs such as Weight Watchers®, L.A. Weight Loss® and Jenny Craig®.


To be enrolled in these plans, individuals must be entitled to Medicare Part A, and be enrolled in Medicare Part B.
