Fire in Webster nearly destroys auto business

An auto repair shop in Webster may be a total loss after a fire ripped through the building. Webster and West Webster fire fighters responded to Dan's Auto Repair on the corner of Bay and Ridge Road in Webster around 9:15 p.m. Sunday.
When crews arrived they found heavy smoke coming from the buildings roof. The fire may have started near the building's electrical panel.
Firefighters say they were able to get into the building quickly, and that may have prevented the fire from being a lot worse.
