Working smoke detectors are credited with alerting two people in the City of Rochester that their house was on fire early Sunday morning.
Rochester firefighters were called out to 81 Clifford Avenue around 1:30 a.m. on reports of smoke coming from the two-story home.
When they arrived, firefighters did not see any flames but did find the fire between the walls of the second floor and the attic. The fire, believed to be an electrical fire, was under control in about 30 minutes.
