Jonny Flynn is quickly becoming the indispensible man for Syracuse.
The Orange jumped on Tulane 11-0 Saturday night, but still needed Flynns 14 second half points to hold off the Green Wave and win 73-60 at the Carrier Dome.
Flynn finished with a game high 17 points. When the Green Wave pulled within six points, the smallest margin of the second half, it was Flynn who danced through traffic for a layup to push the lead to eight. Flynn also buried a wide open three a little later to give the Orange a 13 point lead with five minutes left, essentially salting away the win.
Arinze Onuaku finished with 14 points and a game high 16 rebounds. Eric Devendorf had 16 points. Paul Harris finished with 15 and ten boards for the Orange.
Syracuse next will travel to Virginia this Wednesday.
