Rochester Rhinos in trouble too?

There's another chip in the armor of Rochester Minor League sports owner Steve Donner. Christopher Wilmot has resigned from the board of managers of the Rochester Rhinos, in part to protest the management philosophy of majority owners, Steve Donner and Frank DuRoss. Wilmot says the soccer team needs big help if it wants to survive financially. Wilmot tells News 8/Fox Rochester he no longer has confidence in the way the franchise is being run. He cites the poor attendance at the new Paetec Park soccer stadium as one example. "If Monroe County and Greater Rochester love soccer as much as they say they do," he says, "other investors will need to step up to the plate, because there are some serious problems here."
Wilmot owns a small percentage of the Men's and Women's Rhinos, as well as Rochester Rattlers Lacrosse Team, and Paetec Park Stadium. His move is the latest vote of no confidence in Steve Donner, who also owns the Rochester Amerks. This week Buffalo Sabres owner Tom Golisano said the relationship between the two teams is on the rocks. The Amerks are heavily in debt.
