A car accident in Greece triggered a major power outage Monday night. Greece Police say about 8:30 p.m., a car ran into a deer...then crashed into a high voltage power line at Manitou Road near Peck Road. Power was immediately knocked out to some 15,000 customers in Greece, Spencerport and Parma. As of 11:00 p.m., all but 1600 customers had power restored. RG&E spokesman Dick Marion says work crews hope to have all power restored by midnight. They'll work through the night to replace the downed power pole.
