Tom Brady tossed five touchdown passes, including four to Randy Moss in the first half, as New England continued its quest for perfection by destroying Buffalo, 56-10, at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
Brady produced TDs in the teams first seven possessions and finished 31- of-39 for 373 yards as the Patriots (10-0) won their 13th straight regular season game. They also moved one step closer to joining the storied 1972 Miami Dolphins as the only team in NFL history to go through a season undefeated, with the next test coming in a Week 12 Sunday night matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles in Foxboro.
Moss, who had 10 catches for 128 yards, set a franchise mark for most touchdowns receiving in a game, and by notching his 16th touchdown catch of the season overall, smashed the previous franchise record of 12 set by Stanley Morgan in 1979.
J.P. Losman was just 13-of-24 for 151 yards with a TD and an interception for the Bills (5-5) and struggled mightily against a blitz-happy Patriots defense, which recorded four sacks and limited the Bills to 179 yards of total offense while snapping their four-game win streak.
It was the largest margin of defeat in team history, eclipsing a 43-0 loss to Baltimore on October 10, 1971.
